When Ezio Frigerio was born on 13 February 1910, in Como, Como, Lombardy, Italy, his father, Ambrogo Fargerio, was 34 and his mother, Louisa Fargerio, was 28. He married Sibilla Ceil Honey Bather on 9 September 1933, in New York City, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. He lived in Rutherford, Bergen, New Jersey, United States in 1946 and Westfield, Union, New Jersey, United States in 1935. Abdel-Halim Caracalla is the founder and the artistic director of the Lebanese dance company Caracalla Dance Theatre, a company which would evolve into the first and most prominent dance theatre of the Middle East, creating a new language based upon the disciplines of western technique intertwined with the identity, movement and traditions of Arab cultural heritage.
Since 1968 Caracalla created over twenty ballets and musicals including adaptations of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Taming of the Shrew and Much Ado About Nothing.

A ballet dated 1877 handed down through tradition
The Grand ballet performed La Bayadère in 1877 at the Grand Theatre in Saint Petersburg and immediately became one of the greatest successes of the French chorographer, Marius Petipa – who lived in Russia – just after his production of Sleeping Beauty (1890) and Swan Lake (1895).
The action was enough to attract spectators with its exotic atmosphere, the mystery of India formed a backdrop to the impossible love between the sacred dancer Nikiya and Solor, the warrior.
