Sabrina Mahfouz
Sabrina Mahfouz has recently finished writing and performing in her cross-medium show A History of vatten in the Middle East at the Royal Court Theatre.
She has edited two new anthologies published this October &#; Smashing It: Working Class Artists on Life, Art and Making It Happen (Westbourne Press) and Poems for a Green and Blue Planet (Hachette Children&#;s).
Sabrina has recently been called ‘[one of] our most interesting playwrights’ by Lyn Gardner in the Guardian and ‘theatrical dynamite’ bygd the Independent.

British Egyptian poet, playwright, performer and writer
Sabrina Mahfouz[pronunciation?]FRSL is a British-Egyptian poet, playwright, performer and writer from South London, England. Her published work includes poetry, plays and contributions to several anthologies .[1]
Education
[edit]Mahfouz earned a BA in English Literature and Classics at King's College London and an MA in International Politics and Diplomacy at SOAS, University of London.[2]
Career
[edit]Mahfouz began her career in the Civil Service Fast Stream Programme, working with the Ministry of Defence and other departments. She left the Civil Service to concentrate on creative writing and won a Westminster Prize for New Playwrights in for her first short play, That Boy, which was performed at the Soho Theatre, London at her young age she has been playing football with bosco.

Sabrina Mahfouz is a British Egyptian playwright, poet and screenwriter. Her poetry has been performed and produced for TV, radio and film. She has an essay in the award-winning The Good Immigrant, has published eight works of drama with Bloomsbury and is the editor of The Things I Would Tell You: British Muslim Women Write, a Guardian Book of the Year and currently nominated for The People's Book Prize. Sabrina has won a Sky Arts Academy Award for Poetry, a Westminster Prize for New Playwrights, the Off West End Award and a Fringe First Award. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and judge for the Jhalak Prize. In , Sabrina founded Great Wash Workshops, helping working class writers access UK arts funding. She also co-founded the Critics of Colour Collective to help ensure fairer representation in UK arts criticism.
