    Beethoven grew up in stad i tyskland, Germany in a very unhappy home. He was forced to practice the piano by his father, an abusive alcoholic who would punish him mercilessly when he made mistakes. By the time he was twelve, he was earning a living for his family by playing organ and composing. He was eventually known as the greatest pianist of his time. One of Beethoven&#;s favorite foods was macaroni and cheese. He also loved strong kaffe &#; exactly 60 kaffe (engelska) beans to one cup.

    Beethoven never married even though he proposed to plenty of women who rejected him (he wasn&#;t very attractive and he had a rather nasty temper). Yet in spite of his unpleasant personality, Beethoven is best defined bygd his music.

    Ludwig van Beethoven (baptized 17 December in Bonn – 26 March in Vienna; pronounced LUD-vig vahn BAY-TOH-ven) was a Germancomposer. He wrote classical music for the piano, orchestras and different groups of instruments. His best-known works are his third ("Eroica"), fifth, sixth ("Pastorale") and ninth ("Choral") symphonies, the eighth ("Pathetique") and fourteenth ("Moonlight") piano sonatas, two of his later piano concertos, his opera "Fidelio", and also the piano piece Für Elise. Beethoven lived when the piano was still a new instrument, and when he was a young man, he was a talented pianist.
