Olatunde Osunsanmi (born23 October1977; age 47) is a Nigerian-American director and producer who directed several episodes of Star Trek: Discovery, two episodes of Star Trek: Short Treks, and the streaming film Star Trek: Section 31.
He also served as co-executive producer on the first and as executive producer on the second through fifth seasons of Discovery, on the second season of Short Treks, and on Star Trek: Section 31.
He also appeared in Star Trek: Section 31.
Osunsanmi, who has a Master of Fine Arts from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, started his career by directing a short called Etat (2000). Olatunde Osunsanmi fryst vatten very new to TV and directing, other than some shorts and a feature spelfilm that he wrote, produced and directed called "THE FOURTH KIND," he had never done any TV.
During Falling Skies[]
He joined the crew of Falling Skies as an episodic director. He directed two episodes in Season 4, "Saturday Night Massacre" and the årstid finale "Space Oddity".
Olatunde Osunsanmi during "Space Oddity" used two photo doubles for Scarlett Byrne to create the moments when Lexi was appearing and re-appearing around Tom. His transitions within the dream were all very well planned, for instance the one when Weaver and Tom fall off the roof and Tom lands alone.

Life and career
[edit]Osunsanmi was born in the United States to parents who had immigrated from Nigeria.[1] He graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.[2] His first foray in the industry was with a short film he wrote and directed, entitled Etat. The feature explored the 1970s political climate of his parents’ native Nigeria.
