A.S. Gnanasambanthan ( - August 7, ) was a Tamil scholar and a Saiva scholar. He was a renowned public speaker and researcher in Tamil classical literature .
Birth & Education
A.S. Gnanasambanthan was born in to Saravana Mudaliar and Sivakami. Saravana Mudaliar was a famous Tamil scholar from Arasankudi near Kallanai in the Tiruchirappalli district. Saravana Mudaliar, was awarded the title Peruncholvilakanaar.
Saravana Mudaliar was running a clothing store when he got in touch with Na. Mu. Venkatasamy Nattar. Saravana Mudaliar, who was already well versed in literature and the Kamba Ramayana, wrote a commentary on the Thiruvilayaadal Puranam with Venkatasamy Nattar and published it. Later, he worked as a Tamil teacher at the Board High School, Lalgudi.

Gnanasambandan Gurunathan (born 19 October ), also known as G. Gnanasambandan, is an Indian professor, Tamil scholar,[1] orator and an actor who appears in Tamil films. He frequently chairs Tamil debate shows (Pattimandrams). Dr G Gnanasambandan is originally from Sholavandan[2] of Madurai district. He was a Professor of Tamil-language at Thiagarajar College, Madurai.[3][4][5]
