    Indian Idol 15: Indian playback singer’s daughter Sneha Shankar to be seen as a contestant

    Singing reality show, Indian Idol, is back with Season 15, showcasing some of the finest voices from across the nation. The auditions saw a horde of contestants with incredible vocal talent and one such extraordinary contestant is 18-year-old Sneha Shankar.
    Sneha Shankar is the daughter of Indian film Music Director and Singer, Ram Shankar, who has worked predominantly in Bollywood and continues to contribute to the Indian music industry.

    Sneha Shankar is the daughter of singer and music director Ram Shankar,[1] and granddaughter of Shankar of the Sufi singers duo Shankar-Shambhu.[2] At the age of six she appeared in a TV show MTV Sound Trippin on MTV India.[citation needed]

    Career

    Shankar started her career and participated in various singing reality shows including The Superstar Singer' & 'Indian Idol - Season 15'.[3]

    In 2019 she sang for the Hindi version of a Hollywood movie The Lion King.[4]

    She has worked with various music composers including Himesh Reshammiya, Sneha Khanwalkar, Amit Trivedi, and Jeet Gannguli.[citation needed]
