Belmer
TF1 Group
Chairman / CEO
With the U.S. studios increasingly demanding global rights to content, Belmer has been forced to look for new ways to bring programming to TF1, France’s largest commercial network. One is through partnerships with outside entities, including Netflix, the company that started the trend, with whom it has produced no less than three series, including the Audrey Fleurot starrers “Les Combattantes” (“The Women of War”) and “The Bonfire of Destiny.” Expect more content to developed through its production and distribution group, Newen Studios, which, thanks to an acquisitions spree, now owns close to 50 production houses, including Daï-Daï Films, Anagram and Rise Films. Belmer has also vowed that TF1 content will increasingly focus on France’s culture and its heroes. Prior to joining the company, Belmer served on the board of directors for Netflix from 2018 to 2022.
